car park prang

so just been to the local tin shed, to see what on offer, answer is not alot really but saw two calla lillies down to 50p so i though i would give them ago. come out to my car and some one has done this

i was furious! no note nothing, little old lady opposite says i think it may have been that van pulling out with box trailer as he seemed to be having difficulties when he parked but she couldnt be sure.
The other side was scratched in almost the same the same place on the other side when at the Dr's recently, so is it only me that is stupid enough to leave a note

That's terrible. Is the car park owned by the shop you were visiting? If it is they might be able to look at their CCTV to see who did it, then its just a case of passing on the details to your insurer to chase them I guess.

 

Is the store permitted to assist you in identifying the perpetrator from their CCTV recordings of what's happening in the car park?

Whenever I see something similar happen and the offending driver leaves a 'note' on the windscreen, I always take their number then check out the 'note' as some people just leave a blank piece of paper or some nonsensical scrawl under the wiper of the car they've just hit and most people watching assume they've done 'the right thing'.

 

Had the same happen to me last year,We were parked in disabled bays (yes entitled) 6` between vehicles and the vehicle next to us must have scraped us,we could see it as we walked to car

 

it is a shared car park of one of those out of town shopping centre i hadnt thought of asking to check their cctv, i was and am still Cross

just checked i wouldnt be able to claim as sign says cars parked at owners risk ! and no cctv coverage in that area

 

when i parked there was nothing either side of me or in fact when i returned, the lady who thought it was van with trailer said he was just trying to turn to get out of the car park ! (i checked the ladies car lol red paint no scratches ) scratches on mine are deep and silver living by the sea means we have no choice but get a respray

First off Try using a rag with BRASSO on it, that will tidy it up, then decide if it needs more than a matched aerosol spray (Halfrauds)
