The CGA is a group of independent nurseries and businesses, working together in Carmarthenshire, to promote Horticulture in the county known as the Garden of Wales.
The membership consists of a mix of plant nurseries (wholesale and retail), landscape and garden designers, garden centres, a florist and also craftwork such as bird feeders, nesting boxes and houses, as well as garden tubs and troughs. Added to this one of our members has a collection of vintage machinery which is regularly toured around the shows
Most members can offer a general range of plants such as:
    • Alpines
    • Ferns
    • Fruit bushes
    • Fruit trees
    • Grasses
    • Hardy Perennials
    • Vegetables
From the members who Specialise, you will find:
    • Basket plants ~ ready made or made to order
    • Bulbs
    • Christmas Trees
    • Fruit Bushes eg, blueberries
    • Hemerocallis (Daylilies)
    • Hollies
    • Water Plants
Each year we host a number of plants fairs where you will have the opportunity to meet some or all of our members. The dates and venues for the fairs can be found on the Plant Fairs page and during the active spring and summer season you will find us advertised with local radio and newspapers. The nurseries open to the public are mentioned on the Members page.

      Spring Show in Carmarthen Park

Carmarthenshire Growers Association, in collaboration with Carmarthen Town Council, will be holding a Spring Show in Carmarthen Park on Saturday 12th May 2012.

We are inviting a select number of Trade stands, together with plant sellers and growers, who will be on hand to give advice and tips. Carmarthenshire Growers Association (CGA) will also be staging demonstrations on methods of plant production, including seed sowing, cuttings and division to name but a few.

We hope to make this a family day out by including a bouncy castle, live music, face painting and a number of other attractions.

If you would be interested in a stall at this event, please contact Sylvia at [email protected] or Helen at [email protected] or telephone 01558 822642 / 01269 598540 for further details or an application form.
