Just choosing which chillies to grown for my own pleasure, and got me wondering what chillies you other chilli growers have planned.

So my list my seem large, although its probably not exhaustive as I always find room for something else as I play nicely with a local independent garden centre and do a little trial growing for them to see how they sell. I have the luxury of a 40sq.mtr polytunnel and a greenhouses at home to play in. Keeps the allotment free for veg! Oh, and you may notice I like to play with the hot ones as well.

    Apache
Bhut Jolokia (Red, Chocolate & Yellow varieties) (800,000 - 1,100,000 Scoville)
Bolivian Hairy (Orange & Yellow varieties)
    Brazilian Starfish
    Cascabel
Cayenne (Golden, Long slim & Thick varieties)
    Dorset Naga (800,000 - 1,100,000 Scoville)
    Douglah (1,824,411 Scoville)
    Fatalii
    Fireball
Habanero (Red, Peach, Chocolate & White varieties)
    Hot Lemon
    Hungarian Apple
    Krakatoa
    Maules Red
Moruga Scorpian (2,009,231 Scoville as at 7th Feb 2012)
    Numex Big Jim
    Tabasco
    Trinidad 7 Pot Yellow (800,000 - 1,100,000 Scoville)
    Trinidad Scorpian Butch-T (1,463,400 Scoville)

Blimey ! cant compete with that ! Im going for less extreme heat but tasty that I can use for cooking:

      Lemon drop
      Long Cayenne
      Early Jalapeno
      Big Jim

Having said that I wasn't going for anything too hot, Ive just discovered seed for:

      Numex Suave Red
      Yellow Devils Tounge

.. which I dont remember buying. Probably pick up a couple more before the start of the growing season ! Going to try Chilligrow in the greenhouse, alongside old stylee stick-it-inna-pot growing.

Also still got pods appearing on basket of fire on the upstairs windowsill - small but hot.

Wow an impressive list , mine for 2013 is even less grand. I just grow three varieties I will be trying........
Hungarian Hot wax ......... Lovely big green to red medium chilies
Fuego F1 ......................A new to me Italian variety
Anaheim....................... Hopefully a mild chilli for BBQ grilling

Below is a picture of the final harvest from a Chilli I bought in a garden centre for £1. It was only labelled Capsicum ? They are little hot chillies about 20mm long , does anyone recognise them ?

I'm just lucky to have the space to feed my obsession with them!
As for your chilli, it could be Serrano, seen that in garden centres around me before.

Not tried the bonsai technique with any chillies, might give that a try this year to get one of the hotter ones a place in the house... if the wife will let me get away with it!

I grow half a dozen pots of small chillies (Demon Red) each year. A couple of plants produce enough fruit for us, and I give the rest to friends (ladden with fruit, so they just keep them as kitchen plants and harvest them as necessary, and then freeze them when the plan snuffs it)

This year I'm going to grow some Willy Chillies for presents instead :heehee:
