I have grown a few Cherry Bomb Chilli plants in containers this year - very pleased with them :dbgrtmb: Is it possible to overwinter them in an unheated potting shed , if I trim them back and insulate the pot and plant well?

Also I mistakenly froze all my Chilli crop a couple of weeks ago . If I thawed a couple out would the seeds still be viable for sowing next year ?

    Hi Harry,

Wouldn't fancy its chances if it gets as cold as last year. I overwinter mine on the window sill.

Seeds will probably be good, in fact they'll think winter is over & will be chomping at the bit.

Sorry Ziggy , thought I had replied to this one ! Thanks for the advice, the Cherry Bomb is a Capsicum annuum , and all the Chilli sites seem to say they are difficult to overwinter - also windowsill space is at an absolute premium in my place until April. So I will green bin it and try some Hungarian hot wax Chillis next year
