    Hi All,

I got some spuds for the first time to grow in bags this year, but they need chitting. I believe that now is the right time to do this. I was going to put them in the utility room, but it is only a couple of degrees warmer than outside. Would this be a suitable place?

It is fairly bright on the utility, so they will get a fair bit of light. Is it too early to stRt them now?

Cool but frost free is good, you don't want them getting leggy before planting them out, which you don't want to do before the frost period is over in your zone.
