Clematis id please

Hi i bought a few plants recently this particular one had no label on it but the best looking plant so i had to buy it, any ideas please.


Noticed a bug in there didn't see it when i took the pictures.

 

Looks like a lilac clematis @martin-f what sort i haven't a clue mate as there's loads of varieties in them ...it looks nice and in better shape than mine, this year as shocked mine dormant

Different types come alive at different times of the summer give it time,

 

It will be one of the ''Alpinas'' - maybe Blue dancer, or a paler blue is called Frankie.

Thank you Tetters i will have a look now i have something to go on, i hope its a repeat flower i haven't even got it in the ground, i will keep deadheading it,

 

I wouldn`t dead head it if I were you, you will just lose all the lovely seed heads ....Oh and by the way, you won`t need to prune it either.

 

Martin mine are usually awake now with leaves on mate

 

Did you put a fleece on it that's what you get got having favorites :rasp: don't come crying to me

 

Fleece on it ....i'll tell you what i'll do i'll turn the back into a cattle farm ....i've got some good clippers, i'll get the old man to hold the animals while i strip them and besides having plenty of fleece i'll flog the rest off

 

You wont get much fleece from cattle, far better getting into ovine farming .
