Very interesting. It suggests that where I live, it hardly gets any better. Comparable to the south east

Its a shame its not really very true. Autumn arrives here about 2 weeks earlier than it does does just 100 miles of here.

We are too small a country to try to make this kind of thing work.
As far as I can see, there are only basically three zones in the mass populated areas of the country, so unless you are living on a mountain, its not really relevant .

 

Once again Mann isn't included, so it's no good for me.

The converse of this is the speed of spring..as reported in a QI article extract below.........

The North West region includes both the coldest place in England (Cross Fell in the Pennines) and the wettest place in England (the Lakeland fells around Seathwaite in Cumbria).
