Hi, could anyone suggest a climber to grow through this clematis please? It flowers now for about a month but I'd like to have flowers throughout the year ideally. It's a North facing wall. Thanks.

    Hi,

It looks like a Montana variety which may give you a few flowers later in the year.

You might be able to get away with a climbing rose as it does not looks that shaded, or another later flowering clematis, or even a climbing Fuchsia like Lady Boothby.
All should be ok in a decent sized pot.

Cheers, I'm going to research your suggestions. At least there is something that will work.

Or may be one of the less vigorous Lonicera's (Honeysuckle).

The one I have flowers through until Autumn, is semi evergreen and grows to 15ft.

Also nice. Thanks Sheal, sure one (Or more) will prove ideal. Shade is tricky.

My one is in shade until late afternoon, honeysuckles aren't too fussy.
