cold frame

    we have been clearing a corner out and found a cold frame concrete sides no top, but hubby is going to make one, what do you use cold frame for I have a green house and have grown tomatoes, cucumbers and also sown lots of seeds for garden so not sure if I need cold frame or not.

    In general terms a cold frame is the first place to 'harden off' your tender plants before putting them out into the garden.

    I put all my lowly cuttings in my cold frame and they do amazingly well in there as well as using it to harden off stuff as Moyra says. Hel.xxx.
