comfrey and nettle

    what's the best way to get nourishment from nettle and comfrey...and do I use only foliage or roots...? Thanks

    Maybe not exactly nourishment, but a kind of pop used to be commonly made from fresh young nettles. Sounds bad, but is really quite tasty.

    I only put foliage in. Give it a good chop and cover with water, leave for 3-4 weeks and strain off. Mix 10parts water to 1 part nettle/comfrey. Nettles are used to promote leafy growth and comfrey for fruits.

        That's what I thought, but as someone mentioned making a tasty pop with it, I thought it would help to clarify :heehee:

        rustyroots has described how to make the liquid fertilizer to feed your plants with - only failed to mention, it does have quite a strong ... aroma :whistle:

          It can be used to make a tasty wine as well, but as nobody on here imbibes,:whistle: did not want to mention that...:snorky:
