:) A bit of a long shot this ,but I have loaded a slightly dubious programme via CD Rom to my laptop. It loads fine and the Icon is on the desk top but at the very end I get" ERROR1904 Module".....It seems to be loaded but will not play .Any ideas?

 That usually means that it failed to register on installation & is usually due to the computer & CD rom being incompatible, usually because of the age of one or the other, so outdated..

Yes so am I & am a niffed that I have lost a couple of programs because of it.. See if you can get any updates off the internet perhaps, sometimes you can with the older software..

          I concur with Marley Farley.

There may be a "fix" but it involves the "registry" you don't want to go there, one slip and..............

Its probably because as Marley Farley said, (sort of) you have windows 7 but are using an old programme.

Or to put it another way.

I broke my old fork handle, I now have a new handle, but it doesn't fit.

Yes, save time, give up now.

I admit it does seem a waste that you can't use a programme you used to use on a new pc, but if its not compatible, its not compatible.

You may find that infuriating that it is, you can spend more time trying to get it to work, in the hopes that it will work, getting no where. That you would be better off getting either the latest version or a new similar programme.

In my "day job" some equipment makers state their new kit is "backwards compatible" (in other words it will work with older versions of their kit.) But like wise sometimes it isn't, and it all has to be changed for the sake of one small part. But that's how some things are now.
