Hi all, im looking for a little bit of advice.

I currently have a concrete rear yard, and after my dog has skinned her foot out there for the fourth time in 3 months i want to turn it into a lawn.
What do i need to do? would it be ok to lay down a couple of inches of compost then plant grass seed or should i use topsoil?
or do i need to break the concrete up?
any help would be gratefully recieved.

You would need to break up the concrete to allow for drainage, then depending on the quality of whats underneath...probably top soil too
