When I started to garden, I got great inspiration from looking at lots of pictures of gardens and deciding what style, colours, layout etc I liked. I have been trying to do the same for my garden room, but haven't managed to find many good looking conservatory pictures.

If you find some please do add them to these. I am showing some of what I have found.

The best pictures are of grand glasshouses open to the public. But they are not relavent to a private conservatory. However I had to show this. Those Echium wildpretiis make it such a wonderful picture.

love the bathroom , I always wanted to knock my house down and build a big bathroom in stead :)

How fugly are those suspended heaters? Fancy building a stunning conservatory and not incorporating the heating. Some nice victorian grills in the floor with finned-pipes for heat for example, although I considered those for mine and it turned out that getting the drainage from the lowest point of the channels is not straightforward (e.g. channels have to slope), plus if you sluice-down (as I will be inclined to!) all the crud collects in the channels, and gets stuck in the fins.

My Mood-Board photos are not very extensive, but FWIW I have two boards:

Marley - lovely pictures. That first one is a real conservatory garden, rather than just a collection of plants. I would love to achieve an effect of that quality. But surprisingly there weren't many pictures of that quality. And I love the third one - that is just so elegant.

Kristen - mood board is a new word to me. Are those pages yours? A mood board is a really good idea. There are some beautiful buildings on those links, and I love looking at pictures. In the same way that I love old copies of Country Life. The older the copy the better - because you can look at the prices and dream.

A conservatory is just a dream for me but given the opportunity it would not be white! It's just to harsh to look at.

Yup. I like Pinterest for that sort of thing - see a picture on the Internet, press the Pinterest button (Browser toolbar add-on) and the picture, plus your choice of text, is stored.

We opened up a fireplace in our previous house. In it was a fire laid and ready to light with a copy of The Times from 1880! In that was an advert for a row!! of houses in Teddington Lock for about 300 quid!
