I have found these little beasts on my rose leaves (Sweet Memories). What are they? I have sprayed with rose clear twice in the last 3 weeks so I dont know if they are dead but they look pretty fresh to me. Could they be causing the black / yellowing or is that another problem. I have posted a couple of times on this subject but I thought this warranted another one. Have I got two separate problems here? Have I got rust or black spot as well? Also the leaves are going yellow from the bottom of the bush up and as soon as I pull them off over night more appear. I water well, keeping the soil moist at all times and feed with Miracle gro out door plant food once every 10 days. The rose bush at the momet seems, otherwise, to be pretty healthy the blooms are wonderful and lots of them - I am getting worried now as I dont want to lose the bush and nothing seems to work.

looks like aphids to me with the bottom one still a lively colour

Rose clear should have shifted them, or any other aphid spray, or look through some of the non chemical tips on these forums

The top picture shows the beginning of Blackspot - remove all affected foliage & burn or bin - don't compost them, also pick up any leaves around the bush, to stop the spores overwintering. The second picture is the aphid skin (mmm lovely), the last, as Steve says is an aphid - spray with soapy water or have a look at this link
