I only have two smallish raised veg beds in my garden & just wondered what to do about rotating them 5'x 6' & 4'x 10'
I grow mainly Lettuce, cabbages/broc/chard, s.onions, runner beans & the odd marrow or squash rarely any root crops as I put lots of manure/compost on every autumn to keep it topped up, toms/melons/cucumbers are all grown in pots, all rotation plans work on 3 beds so not sure what to do any advice????

    Hi ,Helen.

Don't do veg anymore, forced labour as a youngster, only bad memories!

But as long as you don't put the same crop in the same place for at least 3 years you should be o.k.

It's the brassicas you have to careful with, root problems.

I also had a problem with manure, the ground was described as "too sweet", when I used new stuff.
The ground was full of grubs and bugs, hungry devils!
Think that meant I should have let it rot down for longer.

Mmmm, might get into veg again, maybe.

    Paladin.
