I have 2 young trees and each spring the curly leaf starts and by summer the trees are almost bare of leaves. I have been removing the infected leaves and burning them and have sprayed with berdeaux powder mixed with water. I am out of ideas. Can any one help or will I have to give up on the trees?

    I know the problem well.
If its peach leaf curl, I dont think there is a real remedy.

If its leaf rolling aphids its easy.

Yes, I know, I get the same problem.
I've not found a cure, although the books do say to use copper spays before the buds open, and again in the autumn, before leaf fall.

That hasn't worked yet. I will try one more time and if it fails again I will plant something else in the spot like 2 cherry plums..

I've found that spraying works most, but not all of the time so last year I kept our potted peach in the GH all nearly all year rather than just for winter. It didn't get peach leaf curl but ended up with a very bad case of RSM. I brought it our of the GH in July and have left it out all winter in the hope the RSM has been killed by the cold.

For anyone who hasn't already found it the RHS advice regarding peach leaf curl is here -
