As the Choisya smells sooooo nice, I have cut a couple of pieces to put in a jam jar in the dining room over the past couple of weeks.

Today, it was the turn of the Geums who are now in a vase together with some choisya flowers and a few sprigs of euonymus to bulk them out.

Really looking forward to when the sweet peas are in flower

I'm not a flower arranger but I do like the thought of keeping the indoors homely with some of the rewards from the garden.

What are you harvesting from the garden to decorate your home with?

I did the same today M.

Here's a little selection I put together this afternoon. Along with the sweet peas, there's Quaking Grass, Bowles's Golden Grass and a small sprig of Green Alkanet flower thrown in for good measure.

@Trunky that's a very pretty posy and I love the Quaking Grass! One I shall have to put on my list

Plenty of time to find a pretty blue vase for them

I always have flowers in the house through the season, quite cheery and scents.
Currently roses, centurea, veronica, choisya, columbine.

Not in a vase, but I bring in lavender and rosemary.

I've found they can get a bit too big for cut flowers, but if planted/grown several to a planting station that'll stunt them to a suitable cut flower size. The exception is those that have a branching habit, with naturally smaller flowers.

hi Trunky, could you ID the dry herb overhanging, as well as the blue flower? Thanks.

@miraflores The one with the hanging seed heads is greater quaking grass (Briza maxima) and the blue flower is fairy bellflower (Campanula persicifolia). :dbgrtmb:
