They're looking good. Ziggy. Box plants in pots aren't cheap so you've saved some money there.:D

Nice one Armandii, didn't think about the cost, its part of a plan to hedge off the West Bay Plot against the wind.

Sis wants Holly, but i'm aiming for a mix of Box, Sloes & Holly.

With the flower buds on they look more like Sweet Box to me, Sarcococca. AKA Christmas Box.:dbgrtmb::cool:

Think they are Buxus sempervirens Dai. Have to wait for confirmation from John.

Here's the mother plant, on the bottom left:

I've had it about 15 years now.

Ziggy's is definately a Buxus sepmerviviens. I can see what you mean though Dai, I've got some Saracococca from Shiney's open day, it's a lot darker green than Box, not really obvious on a photo unless you put them side by side

If it`s Buxus, John, why is it flowering at this time of year? Also, if it`s about 15 years old, why isn`t it around the 6ft mark?

I don't think those are flowers in Ziggy's photo, they are little brown buds waiting for the spring.

I've clipped mine every Derby Day to keep it in shape :dbgrtmb:

Ziggy, any chance of a close up of the box plants tomorrow - just to show those are buds not flowers?
