    Hi,

I purchased a cyclamen houseplant 19 months ago (october) while it was flowering, since then it has been on a sunny windowsill and watered weekly.

The strange thing is, at no time have the flowers disappeared, so it has blossomed for 19 months continously. It has had upto 15 blossoms at most which seems alot for such a small plant.

I would be greatful if anyone could shed some light on this.

    Thanks

hi Spaffhawk... You should be so lucky, but I believe you, as I have experienced same few years ago. May be now it's best to let the plant go dormant for Summer... and let it almost dry out and by September start gentle watering and feeding again... in time for Christmas and Spring.

Hi Spaffhawk - s'funny, I was about to post the very same question although my cyclamen is only 12 months old. It just hasn't let up and is always full of flower and buds.

Think I might take Ladybird's advice although I shall miss its cheery presence in front of me while I'm washing up!

There seems to be something about a kitchen window sill!! :D

    Mine finished flowering long ago.
Are the 1/2" "balls" connected by curly tendrils seed pods?
They are filled with, what looks like, wet rice.
Haven't noticed them before because they grow among very lush drifts of violets and cornflowers.
I suppose they have been in the ground undisturbed for about 10 years .

    Thanks.
They probably have as there are flowers appearing in places I haven't put them in.
The original ones I found in a skip in Alton, nr Basingstoke, didn't even know what they were until they grew. The bulbs are wierd
