    Hi,

We often grow various dwarf Dahlias from seed, but these just do not seem to be coming true.

From a big seed supplier, packeted as Dwarf Unwins mixed, the seeds looked like Dahlias, germinated and grew in the greenhouse looking like Dahlias and were then hardened off before a dozen of them being planted out at about 200mm tall.

That when things started to look wrong, rather than the stems gowing up they seemed to pause and looked a bit bushier, now they have started to add height but look a totally different plant ?!

The rest of that south facing border have several other different plants all growing normally, so would think the soil must be ok.

Some other varieties of Dalias sown at the same time, also planted out and have been flowering normally for a couple of weeks.

Wonder if its something gone wrong with the growing or possible some seed supply problem, if so any idea what plant they really are or just some odd mutation ?

I think you should have a word with @shiney , he has some strange looking dahlias.
The bottom picture looks almost like a China aster.
