I wasn't quite sure which topic to put this under so have put it here.
It could be 'Identification', 'Wildlife', 'Pests' etc

Something or things have been digging in our garden.

This hole in our front lawn is approx 7" long, 4" wide and 5" deep

    P1130996.JPG

This is in the back garden and is 4" x 5" and 2" deep

    P1130997.JPG

There are three of these approx 4" x 3" x 2" and triangular

    P1140002.JPG

and a couple of these with just the turf lifted up

    P1140003.JPG

Then we have this one in the veggie patch - just where we have planted the onions (you can just see some of them). This is a roundish hole about 7" diameter and I don't know how deep - and full of pooh!!!

They may be made by different animals but any advice would be welcome. :love30:

Yes, you'll soon have holes like this in your lawn if you're lucky:

Anyway, lucky you - I have to walk 10 minutes to get to a hole like that.

Zigs, come and get this badger before I have to take drastic steps.

Bilbo, I don't think the big holes are squirrels - or the pooh.

I've seen squirrels doing this sort of damage to my lawn recently, pesky things.

It's welcome in my garden if it restricts itself to the wild area :blue thumb:. It's not welcome to dig up my lawn or onions!!! :nonofinger:

They have always been welcome in my garden (don't mind too much having to clear up the occasional pooh) but further damage will require me to restrict access. We never had the problem when Oscar was in charge of security

                Notice has been served!

I also think Badgers and the one filled with Poo sounds like a badger latreen{toilet}If you get a whiff of it and it smells quiet pongy then it definetley will be a badger loo.I assume they have covered the loo with leaves to show other badgers where they have been to the loo but all the latreens we have found just have foul smelling poo in them which our dog used to enjoy rolling in especially round the neck and collar area:mad:

I personally would love badgers in the garden but the chances of that are pretty slim:snork:

Kandy, the wind blew the leaves there and we can't get a whiff of it because a gale was blowing.
