As you can see from the photo the leaves on my 'Sweet memories' (Whamemo) have discolouration and what looks like a mini caterpillar at work (though it's not). Does anyone have any ideas as to what this is. I have just done a soil test and it came out yellow green between acid and neutral. On another rose from another location the soil test came out between light and dark green neutral and alkaline. Which is right? or do different roses need different soils. The second rose is a white patio rose

Mmmmm not something I have seen before, but from the way the beastie is following the leaf veins, I would think its some kind of leaf miner.Besides spraying, I would pick off and destroy the affected leaves.
