The mite Cecidophyes nudus causes galls to form on the leaves of Geum. They do not do serious damage so you do not need to do anything.

Gosh they're so ugly looking though! I’ve got leaves that are pretty much fully covered in those galls!

Is it a case of having to spray new growth with bug killers? :( do u know of any alternatives to treatment?

Apparently normal bug killers dont work, its a mite problem, and not much avilible works on mites.

At least the galls on your grapes are the same colour @pete , these gross things are fluorescent yellow!

Been reading and apparently there is NOTHING that can be done about it :(
