    Hi all

I had a new turf lawn laid in the spring. I thought it was starting to look a bit bare so used some 'weed and feed' but stupidly didn't read the instructions properly and didn't dillute it enough. The result has been that all the grass I've watered has completed died.

What is the best way forward:
Am I able to wait until the autumn when theres more rain and try and
    a) re-seed over what's there
    b) Dig up the dead grass and re-seed
    c) Dig up the dead grass and re-turf?

    Any help gratefully received.

    Hi Parch

    Welcome to the forum.

I'd wait until the autumn before doing anything. You'd be amazed how resilient grass can be. Even if you've killed the top growth, the root system may sprout again.

Also, it's very hot and dry at present so not a good time to try and establish a new lawn.

If your lawn really is dead as a doornail, I'd dig it up and returf, rather than trying to sow seed on top of dead turf.

    I agree with Flinty, Parch.
Grass is very hard stuff to kill and there's a chance it might come back from the root system.
Pray for rain and wait and see what happens.
