I say bah humbug as well. Too bleeding commercial. I can't stand that santa that always makes me think he is pleasuring himself with that ladder!!!
I don't mind a few tasteful lights...but its so naff and everyone has the same. Perhaps we ought to go back to the original pagan festival that got hijacked by Christmas. I think the origianal festival died out here in shropshire cause we ran out of innocent virgins to sacrifice. :D

Lets face it chaps if it wasn't for us women there wouldn't be Christmas.

We buy practically all the presants and cards,we wrap them and write out all the cards and gift tags.It is the women that sort out all the stuff for the nativites and make sure that the little ones get there and back safely etc.

Women prepare and cook all the turkeys and all the trimmings. All men do is put up the tree and a few lights, carve and eat the Turkey and either go off down the pub or fall asleep in the chair.

Women are what makes Christmas aways have done and always will do.

My only regret is not being able to have children to be able to see their little faces when they open their prezzies on Xmas morning. You should enjoy them and the day

I love all the lights that people put up around their houses and in their outside trees.

There is enough unhappiness in the world without miserable people adding to it.

If I had my way I would pass a law that all houses were decorated with lights and left on all through the winter months.

But then I am just a big kid at heart, and Bah humbug to you miserable lot [IMG] [IMG]

Kandy I have to pull you up here, this will be the 33rd Christmas my wife and I have spent together and I have cooked her breakfast every Chrismas morning and lunch 32 times out of 33. The only time I have not cooked Christmas lunch was the first year we were married and we had my mother in law to stay and she insisted that I " do what normal men do at Christmas and go to the pub " her actual words. Needless to say she has not stayed for Christmas since. ;) :D :D . David.

Can't stand the ever earlier commercialisation of Christmas. Really gets up my nose as a money grabbing ploy rather than a very special celebration. I like to see houses and gardens lit up in celebration, but not before the week before Christmas otherwise it spoils (for me anyway) the 'event'.
