The first time I've ever bought plug plants online; 'Bulls Blood' Beet leaf.
Sadly none of them made it.
While emptying the soil out of the pots I noticed small whitish maggot type grubs at the base of the soil, they are aprrox 6-7 mm long & have very dark to black pointed heads.
I'm unable to find out what they are.
Does anyone have any idea what they are please? see attached pictures (the small dark bits on their bodies are soil & not markings). Thanks in advance. Looks like fungus gnats larvae.
Usual cause is keeping the compost too wet.
