I've been using Bing since changing to Windows 10. I'm happy with that so don't need the Ducks or Google.
I found out yesterday that Duckduckgo have sold out to Bill Gates - they are allowing Bill to track your movements on the web. I'm moving over to the Brave web browser - which at the moment - arguably - provides the most privacy for your browsing needs.
Have not heard that DDG has actually been sold to MS, more that there is the arrangement between them which happened a year ago. DuckDuckGo browser allows Microsoft trackers due to search agreement Was following a thread on another forum about privacy and data mining protection and this was one guys protection / privacy method for the PC and Mobile, though the Pi-Hole is something thats more for the advanced users. Have given Brave a go, its based on Firefox which I still prefer, but as another poster commented "The most effective data mining / privacy counter measure is to clear history, data and cookies on a browser's exit." That can be achieved by changing the Settings in any browser, but clearly closing your browser regularly is a good idea, and always close it before and after visiting any key sites like banking.
