I feel like I need to apologise for even asking this!

Trying to sleep and obviously my mind comes up with these questions....

I want to know the aspect of my garden.

I always thought it was East because I open my patio doors and I am facing East but when I walk to the bottom of my garden and turn back to face my house, its obviously West.

so would my garden be East facing or West facing?

    Again! Sorry x

Good question! I think it's the aspect looking outwards from the house that counts. So if a house wall gets morning sun it would be east-facing, as would the garden in front of it. Mind you, the point at which the sun rises throughout the year changes quite a bit.

It's normally considered that the aspect of the garden is the direction you are looking from the house to the garden

@noisette47 answer popped up just as I was finishing this post :heehee:

              Back garden

That’s good to know. I’ve only been able to track the sun path on 09/3 when we had sun pretty much all day. Trying to get a feel for spring/summer sun!

right now I’d love a non overcast/cloudy day!

On the 21st of this month the sun will rise in the east and set in the west, after that date it rises increasingly north of east and sets increasingly north of west up until the longest day.
Just another pointless piece of information.

That depends. If he is anything like me, I am now counting multipurpose compost to help me drift off..:heehee:
