The one - top right looks a goer still. It breaks my heart to see things going in the bin like this. Same with good food at a restaurant or supermarket. One or two of the "exotica" chappies will be along later I would think. I'm gonna tag this thread as I would like to know more too,

            Hi Joolz
well they ended up in the right home .

the orchids will be fine , you will need a orchid compost IF you need to repot only cheap from B&Q and give them a rest in a cool room for 8 weeks and leave the stalks on as they should resprout more flowers from these , roses pop in the green house , when the roses have finished flowering give them a light trim all over , dont over water just keep damp dont feed yet .

The Azaleas do the same keep in the greenhouse and dont over water, bit early to re-pot them if needed , but lime free compost but you know that already

I dont see why they shouldnt all survive just as well this week and not last with all the snow

            Spruce

Thanks pam,the roses was'nt too bad,3 to 4 in a pot, some were mouldy so i just pulled them out and trimmed all dying parts off, hope they will be ok in the greenhouse i think they grew up in a service station snug and warm till they nearly met their fate.As jenny says its a shame they throw good stuff out x

Nice find you got their :dbgrtmb: :dbgrtmb: I was over the moon the other day when I found 4 dwarf conifers next to the bin at the pub I was refurbing. I would prob have a heart attack if I found that lot lol. From what I can see on my phone they look healthy enough. You can buy orchid compost from the GC but if you've already reported I'd leave them you don't want to stress them too much

                    What a lucky girl!

The orchids look good, can't add anything more to what spruce said, just make sure you don't leave any in your shed tonight, it's due to be cold and they won't like that.

I'd be inclined to dump the Kalanchoe.
They dont usually do well once the flowers fade.

Any miniature roses will be fine along with miniature rhodos (azaleas).

The orchids look like Phalaenopsis which like it warm, so might have been badly chilled.
No rush to pot them on, best left until things warm up, no direct sunlight, and allowed to get fairly dry between waterings.
If kept warm and in bright indirect light, actually thrive on some neglect.

ooops, meant to say my orchids were rescued from a shop window display a few years ago by my daughter. They looked similar to yours joolz, they have kept going ever since, I haven't even re-potted them and only water tiny amounts once a fortnight at this time of year. They just keep on flowering.
