The recent stormy weather does upset my 'girls'...it shows in their eggs... How Mabel laid this is beyond me...it's 3" long and just under 7" in circumference ... No wonder it's 'wobbly'
The egg looks like it has the surface of a distant planet Lolli lol! Poor hen, she must of needed a lie down after laying that one. Interesting what stress can do isn't it?
Ouchie Mabel ... time for a lie down dear! Wonder if you have an egg-inside-an-egg with that one Loli? I'll post Honey's effort later - when I've taken the photo ...
Honey is my Old English Game Bantam. She is just getting into the swing of this years laying. I spotted her "sitting" a couple of times, just must have been wind. Then she presented me with this effort .... (from left to right: standard, medium sized egg, bantam egg and Honey's!) The winds must have shocked it out of her because it is no bigger than my thumb nail For perspective, this is Honey beside Buffy (May 2014) ... And here is Honey standing alone and proud (May 2014) ...
