    Hi everyone:smile:

As some of you know Mr Kandys elderly father has now gone into a care home,so now we and his sister and her family are in the process of trying to clear out the house so that it can be sold to help pay for his care fees:sad:

The work is going slowly and we have just got back from another eight hour stint over there. Now this afternoon Mr Kandys old bedroom wardrobes had to be sorted through because there was stuff in there that was his but he hadn't took them to our home when we got married.I spotted on one of the shelves what I thought was a photo album but when Mr kandy got it down and realising it was heavy we discovered it was in actual fact an album nearly full of Elvis Presley records in 78 format (not sure of the correct term)In going through them there are the records that many of us are familiar with ie,All Shook Up,Party,Hound Dog etc. Most of these records have the blue label His Masters Voice and the terrier with his nose stuck in the loudspeaker part and some of the records have a black label with RCA in a roundel on them:smile:

What we would like to know is whether these records are of value because if they are we would probably need to get them insured, but on the other hand they might now have any value at all and we can enjoy looking at them:snork:

Unfortunately at least one of the records has been broken but not too sure if that is the only one or if there are more that are damaged.

If anyone can give us any ideas about them we would be most greatful...Thanks,Kandy:smile:

Agree, just look at the prices on completed sold auctions.

I am not sure, but I think vinyl is making a comeback, so get some good advice.
