Greetings all. Can anyone recommend an evergreen container climber for my patio? Can't be too rampant because I don't have a ton of space. [IMG]

    Hi Lilith,
I haven't much experience of evergreen climbers, but there are 2 I have grown and can recommend. They are both clematis:
Cirrhosa 'Freckles' which is flowering now, with cream coloured flowers about 1'' with maroon speckles; nice dark leaves but doesn't do much the rest of the year, may be too rampant .
Armandii, various species, beautiful glossy dark leaves and flowers very early when few blooms around. Large white or pink flowers, mine is creamy white with a great perfume. Can get very large but easily controlled
For a quick fix, there are loads of varieties of ivy- no flowers but lots of different leaf shapes and colours.

Cool, thanks Liz, thanks Bayleaf! Smelly and pretty is good because I want to put it next to some seating. Flowers that smell of chocolate, eh, not sure that's wise!!
