All around us, we have things going on that would drive us mad if we let them (Brexit, poverty, railway reliability :heehee:.....), anyway I thought it would be good to have a thread where we could enjoy the more positive things that have happened; claiming life's little bonuses if you like.

So, in that spirit, I will kick off slightly retrospectively with mine from yesterday......

The first two came very close together, and were very welcome indeed and those are seeing our friends @Spruce and @Jenny namaste come back to share their company with us :)

The third, was a comment from Mrs C whilst she was making dinner - - she was following a Delia Smith recipe, and not particularly happy with the way that the gravy was turning out.... and then the statement that I claimed as a proper little bonus

"Delia's gravy isn't as good as yours....."

Oh, and if you are looking in Delia...
    :rasp:

... and I saw Jazmine came back after an absence.

It's a lovely, sunny albeit breezy day today and I am thankful for it, We had much needed rain yesterday evening and the garden looks fresh in appreciation. The Almond Blossom is blooming. :spinning:

My bonus is waking up in the morning. (when you get to my age believe me it is a bonus)
Plus looking out at the garden and thinking its too cold, but ha the evenings are getting lighter now.

Doing a litter pick today and watching two teenage girls, completely unrelated to me, get enthusiastic about picking up litter. Clever mother turned it into a competition!

Today's bonus for me was when I was working down the end of the garden in the sunshine a robin came to sit on my shoulder. :blue thumb: He hasn't done that for a few months. The other robins come near, especially if I'm digging, but he's the only one that sits on my should. One of his grandparents used to do the same.

The snowdrops and wild humble crocus on the parcel of land gifted to the town by Nationwide in 1998. I relish each annual visit to see them appear and on a sunny day like today, what can be nicer?

                              1) We have bud burst in the hedgerows! Spring is around the corner. Seasonal campsites open in about 7 weeks. Nesting birds and lots of proper gardening posts will soon start appearing :hapfeet:

                              2) And the Daily Express's forecast of 8" of snow over entire UK is wrong (again).

Not seen buds bursting in the hedgerows here yet but the birds have been much more active and tuneful flying around hedgerows and gardens and their song is always a pleasure to here
