My Fatsia are showing loads of seeds this year and I really wanted to give growing from seed a go. I have patiently waited for the seeds to go dark like elderberries...but no joy....they remain green.
I can't see them turning at this time of year indeed many are starting to rot and fall off.
Would they be viable if I collected them and kept them indoors for a few weeks...or are they beyond help now?
First pic are mine...the second how I was hoping they would turn out...anyone any ideas on this?

Not sure on the seed collection . I have grown this stunning plant from seed a few years ago , its not difficult. A nice sized one costs a fortune in Garden Centres. If you don't have any luck with the seeds , you can get 50 for £2 on Ebay.

Its easier from cuttings, but I grew my first plants from seed.
They dont fully ripen and turn black until next year, late Feb or March.

Should add, I've never grown from my own seed.

Didn't realise the seeds ripened in the new year...Most are dropping to the ground now,so I can't see them lasting the winter.I've collected some and will see if they will germinate next year. Otherwise it's going to be cuttings.

    Thanks for the answer...
