FERNS

    [​IMG] Love them, although only have one at the moment it is about 7yrs old & lives happily in my greenhouse.. Some thing tongue seems to ring a bell in it's name. I have always promised myself that I will learn about them & grow some.. Just haven't got there yet... :rolleyes:

    [​IMG] That sounds familier, I will go & check. It has long leaves broad at the tip narrowing back to plant a lovely green with a smooth but slighty lined texture, the centre vein is quite dark with a brownish tinge. I think I had better go & check this out. :rolleyes: [​IMG]

    I've got a holly fern, I think thats its common name, dont think its supposed to survive outside, but it does.

    [​IMG] Ok, checked it out & it isn't a hearts tongue fern. Will have a check & see if I can find it. Oh yes, only seeing Pete's post made me remember but I have a holly fern in an ornamental sink close to the house. Seems very happy there. Willgo & see if I can find my other one anywhere. :rolleyes: [​IMG]

    That pic in pukka plants, doesn't look like my plant, its similar, but mine is dark green and shiney, the leaflets are bigger and fewer.

    Same with mine Pete but I couldn't find a pic like it...doesn't look as tidy as that either

    Those are beauty's at Kew, I have to try and get to the Eden project this year

    [​IMG] Yes quite correct Steve it was an Adiantum got my spelling wrong & yes it did live in the green house quite happily for several years. Somewhere I have a picture of my friends garden, I am quite envious of it I shall go & find the pic.. [​IMG]
