          Well noooo...but ....I did pinch some seeds a few years back from my late parents garden and put them in a pot. Do they take a long time to germinate?

            Blind means it doesn't have a growing tip.

              Oh ok thanks John..I've had blind Daffs but they didn't have a bloom so I thought it meant that and couldn't quite understand....thanks.:)

                In my experience peonies take at least 2 yrs to germinate.
                I think @Silver surfer may have it.

                  Gosh I hope so pete....how exciting , Are they slow growers and yes it seems strange that there isn't a growing tip?

                    I have a yellow tree peony that self seeds all over the place.
                    Must admit there was something slightly familiar about your seedling but couldn't put my finger on it.

                    Peony does sound very likely possibility.
