Forgotten onions - pull them or leave them in?

    Hi.
    I recently came across a row of onions that had got overlooked. They’re sprouting. If I leave them in will they turn into bigger onions, or just go like leaks when you leave them in - like they’ve got a wooden tube down their centre?

    They will go straight to seed I think, better to pull and eat them before they go soft.

      Thanks. I'd been thinking they'd go tough like leeks, but you're right - thinking of when I'm cooking, the mushy ones are the ones that have sprouted.

      I'll get them up then.
