    Hi All,

I have found some Allium and Tulip bulbs in the garage whilst clearing out. Obviously too late to plant now, but they are sprouting and feel still solid. Do you think they would be OK to be potted up to plant out next spring?

    Hi @rustyroots ,

As long as they're hard and showing no signs of mould or going peppy I would plant them out in a spare part of the garden until Autumn.
I personally wouldn't put them into pots as the Alliums need to be about 4 inches deep and the Tulips to be successful need to be at least 6 inches deep.
Have you got a veg patch or something like that where , you could put them in in rows between your veggie plants ( marking the rows of course with a label ) and then give them the Summer to produce leaves to bulk the bulb up. If they sent up any flower stems I would cut them off so as not to weaken them.
Then, in the Autumn I would dig them up and if they were ok put them into their final flowering positions.
