    Hi All,

Sovi have grown far to many plants this year. I have had to give many away about 200 in total, a lot have gone to family and friends, but also a fair few have gone on freecycle. The only stipulation I had was return the pots (family and friends). How many pots do you think I have had back?

    About 30.

So on freecycle today there was an offer for plant pots, just round the corner. So off I went, and this is what I came back with

These are all brand new. About 300 in total.

I won't need to buy any now to replenish the ones not returned.

Superb! My local garden centre has a 'help yourself' bin in the car park where they put all their pots that have only been used once (if at all) - I picked up a good load from there the last time I visited, and there was literally thousands available. I pay it forward by fixing TV's/Monitors and stuff, and then giving them away to good homes - nice feeling :)

The local family ran garden centre I used to use had a bin like this, but they sold the land to a developer and is now a housing estate. I still cannot find a garden centre any where near as good as this one was. Only the big commercial ones by us now and I don't like using them.

I must admit, I am lucky to have such a good local one so close by. In fact, there is another local one just across the road from my work, so I am really spoiled.

00000000000000000000000000001348Our local garden centres are more concerned with selling scented candles along with other dross. You can`t buy garden machinery from them.
