Just reading in the Sunday papers saying that the young folk are being offended by the emails etc they receive that contain full stops.

Snowflakes are triggered by FULL STOPS as readers find the humble dot 'weird, mean or too blunt' | Daily Mail Online

Suggesting that they consider using one at the end a sentence is abrupt, harsh and not needed and is hurtful to them ???

Oh dear, the poor little things.

Wonder what school they all went to, has English been taken off the curriculum. ?

    Whatever next ! :heehee:

That's probably because they haven't been taught where and when to use them. They probably don't need them anyway as they all seem to speak and type in abbreviations.

I do find they have problems stringing four words together which makes any sense....

I would have thought the Daily Mail might have had more important things to print....

          Hope this is not offensive....

I think April the first has been delayed by Covid19. It has now come out of lock-down.

Of course, it could just be showing how dangerous it is to their brief thought patterns to be using Twitter. It only seems to reinforce the lack of expertise in communication.

I was confused by this; as I have never had issues with snowstorms whilst writing documents.
If full stops cause problems what about : and ;? Probably cause snowflakes to melt.

A semi colon and a hyphen followed by a closed bracket means something ;-) to young folk (should I have put a full stop?)

Not quite as smiley as a colon followed by a closed bracket :dunno:.

There seems to be a younger (snowflake) generation who constantly look for something to be 'offended' by.
