A manor house that burnt down on the Quantock Hills, only the Main hall & some outbuildings survive.

The old Walled Gardens, a lot of the new brickwork on the top of the walls are handmade bricks picked up from a brick factory in Sussex by the Zig.

These guys are clearing the walled garden out, I guess the National Trust are going to do something with it. It used to be a tree nursery till recently.

And finally, something for Folly Mon to get his teeth into.

Afraid not, this was just a re visit today to an old job, all the work i've done up there and I never took pics of the place.

Oh, Joe Strummer of The Clash died in the village.

I don't remember going there, might have , been visiting North Petherton, which is close, a few times annually for the last 40 years.

Came thru North Petherton on the way back, only a few mins away Strongy.

Well worth a visit next time you're up. Nice woodland walks, and FREE ENTRY:yess:

It used to be home to the Somerset Wildlife Trust, but they moved out last year so no plants for sale now:cry3: And the chickens have gone:chicken:
