garden walls

Can anybody help, please? I'm having a new fence erected in my front garden this summer, brick this time. I've been trying to find examples of walls to give me some ideas but what ever I put in the search - nothing. All I find are endless 'how to' sites.

I just don't want to end up with the regulation castelated brick wall you see so often and I can't afford to have inserts of iron railings.

Any suggestions?
