                      Its untrue, but anyone slapping a child is considered to be a very serious offence here.

                      Edit: To illustrate the seriousness of the offence, if one parent hits the other in view of the child, in law, it is considered to be the same as the parent hitting the child. A child is a person under 18 years of age.

                            We're out at my sister-in-law's tonight for an evening of eating, drinking and playing silly board games.
