Mmmm, less about the plants and more about training the dog methinks. A territory I am going to revisit in 6 months time - when I get a retriever/labrador - still done it before, and will do it again (quailing at the throught - the perpetual "leave" "no" whilst they are learning their manners) - at least this time I will have more time to get it right

I don't envy Cazway Pyrenean's are big dogs, and from the message Cazway has more than one - learned behaviour is hard to change - like keep off the borders - but it can be done - either that or fence of the area you want beautiful. I think I would go for a woodland garden trees, ferns and rocks and water - soooooo restful - but then I am lazy.

I have a border collie.. mad! [IMG] I have used that green plastic wire edging fencing for those areas I really want to remain dog-free.. plants and flowers grow through it but the dog can't run in and smash them down...

In three weeks I am getting a baby Springer Spaniel  My friend has two and the most beautiful garden.. they are trained not to run in the flower borders, and they won't, not even if their ball goes in there ... can be done but takes time, persistence and a huge sense of humour :D
