Takes longer than usual for a page to be 'active', by that I mean scroll up/down or even to open.

Then I get a message saying (words to the effect) ".... due to long running script".

Now, as it only happens on GC, I'm assuming the "long running script" is happening in the background?

    Might be worth knowing :)

Is it any page on GC, or is does it mostly happen where there is an embedded Youtube video in the thread?

The reason I ask this is because the message you describe is often associated with script running in Youtube's embedded movie player.

Each and every page of GC, CL1; it is not YouTube related, of that I am reasonably certain.

I think the plain and simple truth is...GC is slow, due to the server

Most likely, Freddy; it was the message referring to a "long running script" (which is causing an error) which may, or may not, be of some assistance in tracking down the issues with the server? :dunno:

Just thought I would mention it because in tech terms, any hints on a "go slow" are better than fumbling in the dark (no wait! That applies to many things in life  ) :heehee:

Can't blame the server for long running scripts on the browser. At that point, the server has already served the page. It has to be something else (possibly still GC specific, but not the server).

Well, I'm by no means a 'techy', but when I run a 'thingy' on my virus scanner, it reports that GC is running slow.

Could it be because he is taller than you? :dunno: (He is pretty tall!)

One of the "last" things to load (which could indicate a long running script?) is the weather/donation apps. Just saying :)
