Geum??

    I got some of this from my Sister's garden. At fisrt I thought it was a geranium, but now I'm thinking maybe a Geum, any ideas?? [​IMG]
    I've seen it flowering in quite a few gardens recently.

    Sorry the flower is a bit blurred, it also looks a bit paler in the photo than it actually is.

    Beki it looks like one of the potentillas to me.

    Definitely looks more like one of the Potentillas to me too. If I was pressed I would say it was P. Miss Wilmott, that is pink with a deeper coloured centre like this one.

    Looks exactly like my geums! Exactly! The way the leaves are spaced on the stem, the shape of them and everything. Definitely a geum in my book.

    Sorry Daisy, but Geums have 6 petals, this flower has five, which is what Potentilla have.

    Hi everyone. Daisy M, I feel better knowing I'm not the only one getting geums & potentillas muddled up [​IMG]
    Gogs, thanks for that nice pic, that's exactly the same plant! Miss Willmott it is. Thankyou everyone.
    Here's a pic of my geum 'Karlsaker' bought from Penlam Plants this Spring, it's covered in mildew at the moment :(
