Hi, Can't find either- you don't mean WHINHAMS industry do you, this is a well recommended red, but does suffer from mildew:
    http://www.rhs.org.uk/Databases/HortDatabase.asp?ID=201253
Where did you find your info.?
This was the best list of varieties I could find for online sales [been looking for some myself, and wanted the new Finnish varieties 'Hinnonmaki' red and gold as they are supposed to be mildew resistant.

    Good luck!

    Winhams available at Chris Bowers
    http://www.chrisbowers.co.uk/currants.asp

there are Langley varieties but not industry...seems to be a mix up of the 2

and I can't find anyone selling golden drop, But I have seen it on a page describing a victorian garden so it may be a very old variety thats not available commercially anymore

Thank you all very much I had no idea there were so many varieties I have emailed Ireland....see what that brings on the website where I read up about them don't ask me where.... was some interesting info in that Henry the 8th was rather fond of a Goose berry fool, thought you might like to know that. Nice bit of frost out there tonight car looks like a Christmas tree hope it does in all the nasties that plagued me in the summer. :D
