MMM, not sure about that far North without some protection, a warm sunny wall at least maybe.

The vines are hardy enough it's more about the length of growing season and ripening.

are there any vineyards near you?

I just planted one so don’t know yet how well it will do. I did my research and narrowed it down to Lakemont or Strawberry. I posted a thread on here asking advice. Lakemont was available locally so that is what I chose.

It used to be a line from the Severn to the Wash south of which you could grow grapes outdoors. This has probably shifted north and I would guess south of the Humber for outdoor grapes. If you have a sheltered suntrap give it a go. However the really good eating grapes have always been grown under glass in the UK so you might want to consider a dual purpose vine and you will probaly have to add extra sugar for wine making in many years.
