Grow Light germination ?

    JWK - I'm not sure if I'm in awe, or scared!!

        Yes, I always start my tomato seeds off at Gas Mark 7 :WINK1:


        :loll: It's in our old kitchen, the hob is disconnected from the gas, otherwise Mrs JWK would never have let me near it.

          Just a thought
          Tropical fish tanks are on freecycle often
          Now if you got one, and filled it with water to say six inches, then had it heated and lit as normal
          you could stand the plants on a shelf one inch below the water line you would have heat, light and warm water feed ? All for the cost of running an aquarium

          Yes that's a good idea Jack, and it would look fairly OK too. Maybe the lights would need to replaced with daylight types (unless that is what is already in fish tanks?)

          It was just a thought I had when I had seen several for free on freecycle
          tank 6' x2' x 2'6"high complete with heater, pump and lights
          I do not know how low you can set the heater element,, or what frequency the lights

          It would be like a giant heated propagator for free
