If you want a good one, go buy one, if your not that bothered grow one from seed.:D

"Vossii" is later to flower than the species but it has much longer flowers:)

Yea, why grow anything from seed....you can purchase all the plants you require and all the veg you require in shops can't you......complete waste of time growing things isn't it Pete. Why didn't I think of that could have saved years of toil and trouble.

Oh by the way...I do have a laburnum in my front garden........

Thats lovely Tweak, my neighbour across the roadhad one and I used to look forward to it flowering every year. They sold up and the people who moved in ripped up the front garden and paved it. Such a shame. 02

Personally I would buy Vossii from a garden centre, its far superior to anything that is likely to come from seed.

I think anyone that knows me will tell you that I am a definite grower from seed.
Most of my plants, where possible have been grown from seed.

I just think that in this case, a purchased plant of a know variety would be a better bet in the long run.

You could if you wanted, grow you own rootstock from seed and graft vossii on to it.

thats what I did a good few years ago:)

You have a good flowering tree there tweaky, its just that when you grow them from seed you have no way of knowing how good the seedling is for quite a few years.
